American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care and ventilator management experience for a night shift travel assignment at a hospital-based respiratory therapy unit in Largo, FL.

Hospital-based respiratory therapy unit (754) located on the first floor of the main building
-
286-bed acute care hospital with an associated psych/rehab campus that serves as a float unit
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Night shift staffing consists of 4 therapists per shift
-
Uses Servo and 840 ventilators
-
Meditech EMR (preferred)
-
Every other weekend work required
-
Holidays worked in rotation with hospital staff
-
13-week contract
-
Active RRT license and certification required; Florida license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience
-
Active experience within the last 6 months in the specialty required
-
Critical care skills and ventilator management required
-
Strong patient assessment skills required
-
BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

ACLS required

Two professional references required for Florida-based candidates

US SSN and DOB required for consideration
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
-
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Responsibilities include nebulizer treatments, ABG draws from A-lines and via stick, and assisting with intubations, CODE responses, and rapid responses

Meditech EMR experience and prior ventilator experience are preferred
-
Gray scrubs required for Respiratory Therapy staff

Parking available in the facility garage on the third and fourth floors
