Company: Influencer Design House
Reports To: Creative Director
About Influencer Design House
Influencer Design House is a design, development, and manufacturing company specializing in jewelry, accessories, and licensed consumer products.
For more than 20 years, we have created products for major national retailers and globally recognized entertainment, character, sports, and pop-culture brands. Our work combines trend-driven design with strong commercial execution—from initial concept and licensor approval through sampling, production, packaging, and retail delivery.
We are looking for a talented Licensed Jewelry & Accessories Designer to help develop jewelry, keychains, collectible pins, and other accessories for our growing portfolio of licensed brands.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on product design position for someone who knows how to turn a licensed property into accessories that fans genuinely want to wear, collect, and purchase.
You will work with brand style guides, logos, characters, symbols, artwork, and other licensed assets to create original, commercially viable products. The right designer understands that successful licensed merchandise requires more than placing a logo on an existing item. You must be able to identify what fans connect with and translate that into thoughtful, trend-relevant products.
What You’ll Do:
Licensed Product Design:
- Design jewelry, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, keychains, enamel pins, bag charms, and other fashion accessories.
- Translate licensed characters, logos, symbols, costumes, catchphrases, and story elements into original product concepts.
- Follow each brand’s style guide while finding creative ways to make the products feel fresh and relevant.
- Develop products for entertainment, sports, character, celebrity, and pop-culture licenses.
- Create designs for different retailers, price points, customer demographics, and product categories.
Trend and Consumer Research:
- Research current trends in jewelry, fashion accessories, streetwear, collectibles, licensed merchandise, and youth culture.
- Study each licensed property to understand its audience, leading personalities or characters, visual identity, and bestselling merchandise.
- Use apparel, graphics, social media, fan culture, and existing merchandise to identify opportunities for new accessory designs.
- Build mood boards, trend presentations, color palettes, and product collections.
Product Development:
- Create detailed presentation artwork, CADs, renderings, line sheets, and production-ready technical specifications.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, stones, colors, plating, enamel, chains, closures, and packaging.
- Design products that meet target costs, retail prices, manufacturing limitations, and quality requirements.
- Work directly with the product development and manufacturing teams to take designs from concept through production.
Licensing and Approvals:
- Prepare organized design submissions for licensor review.
- Make revisions based on licensor feedback while protecting the commercial strength of the original concept.
- Confirm that approved brand assets, colors, logos, and required legal lines are used correctly.
- Manage multiple projects and approval rounds while meeting development and production deadlines.
Collaboration:
- Participate in creative reviews and present design concepts clearly.
- Maintain organized digital files, artwork, approvals, and product specifications.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of professional experience designing jewelry, fashion accessories, licensed merchandise, collectibles, or related consumer products.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating product design—not only graphic design, branding, or social media work.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Ability to create clean product renderings, CAD-style drawings, presentation boards, and factory-ready specifications.
- Strong understanding of jewelry and accessory materials, including metals, chains, enamel, stones, acrylic, PVC, and various plating finishes.
- Strong knowledge of fashion, pop culture, entertainment, sports, collectibles, and consumer trends.
- Ability to manage multiple licensed properties, product categories, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, especially when working with logos, colors, legal lines, and brand guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience designing licensed products.
- Experience working with licensors, brand approval portals, or licensed style guides.
- Experience designing products for specialty, mass-market, department-store, or direct-to-consumer retailers.
- Knowledge of packaging design and retail presentation.
- Experience with 3D modeling or jewelry CAD software is helpful but not required.
Portfolio Requirements
Please include a portfolio showing examples of:
- Jewelry or accessory collections
- Licensed or character-driven products
- Keychains, collectible pins, charms, or similar hardgoods
- Product renderings and presentation boards
- Technical drawings or factory specifications
- Final manufactured products, when available
Applications submitted without a relevant portfolio may not be considered.
