Job Overview
We are seeking friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Cashiers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling food orders and transactions. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and a focus on creating a welcoming environment for all guests. Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in your role. Must be 18 years or older with a current Indiana State Liquor License.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Toast
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of dining and service areas, including bussing tables and sanitation practices
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurants is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math tasks
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate flexibility in various roles such as bussing or serving
- Basic understanding of retail math, grocery store operations, or café environments is beneficial
