We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize clinic operations
- Collect patient information, take vital signs, and assist with medical intake procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Prepare examination rooms, assist with basic clinical procedures such as phlebotomy and medication administration, and support medical documentation accuracy
- Maintain organized medical records, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and update patient charts with relevant information including ICD coding and physiology notes
- Support clinical staff by managing inventory of medical supplies, sterilizing equipment, and assisting with basic laboratory procedures as needed
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and processing insurance documentation
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine settings is advantageous
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential
- Experience with medical assisting procedures including phlebotomy, vital signs collection, medication administration, and medical documentation is desired
- Background in inpatient care or Level I/II trauma center experience will be considered a strong asset
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required
- Demonstrated ability to handle medical terminology accurately and efficiently manage medical records

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
