Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restaurant Executive Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food preparation and safety. As Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and cooking appliances.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.
- Participate in catering events as required, ensuring that all meals meet quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred, with a focus on meal preparation and cooking.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with catering services and menu planning is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are required.
