Job Description:
Complete Care Community Health Center (CCCHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center with ten clinics, is looking for an experienced NextGen PM/EHR Administrator. The NextGen Administrator is responsible for the successful implementation and support of NextGen’s PM/EHR solutions across all clinics. The NextGen PM/EHR Administrator will plan, support and oversee clinical implementation to assure effective use of NextGen PM/EHR, ensuring effective provisioning, installation, configuration, template customization, data reporting, operation, and maintenance of NextGen PM/EHR software and related third-party applications. NextGen PM/EHR Administrator will coordinate internal and external resources, supervise NextGen trainers and training schedules, system development requirements and general project management activities pertaining to NextGen PM/EHR.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage NextGen PM & EHR environment
- Manage NG licenses, user accounts, and NG PM/EHR onboarding and off-boarding of incoming and outgoing staff
- Manage procurement, implementation, testing, and training of NG PM/EHR updates, add-ons, interfaces, templates, NG workflow process changes
- Monitor and troubleshoot NG PM/EHR issues, which includes prioritizing, delegating, fulfilling the support requests, provide directions and getting outside assistance/resources
- Lead/supervise NG Trainers, ensuring staff are properly trained for their clinical and/or administrative roles and their functions and operations within NextGen environment, including on/off-boarding of staff, training of new NextGen modules, templates, interfaces, workflow redesigns, etc.
- Participate with clinical, administrative and quality teams in evaluation, redesign and implementation of clinical/NextGen workflows, templates to improve clinic operations and medical documentation
- Training to support NextGen related process changes
- Assists in application testing and audits for upgrades and enhancements
- Documentation of operational procedures; updating and maintenance of end-user training manuals
- Participation & coordination with I/T for system demonstrations, research and development of custom internal solutions
- Develop, maintain, test and execute plans for disaster recovery and business continuity
- Travel to multiple clinic locations
- Perform all other duties and tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager
Experience:
- Minimum of three years working in an ambulatory clinical setting
- Minimum of three years of prior experience in the use, management, and implementation of clinical information systems
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of physician practice operations including clinical, clerical and billing operation workflow
- Must have strong customer service skills and be able to establish a rapport with physicians and staff at all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
- Multi-tasking and prioritization in a high-paced healthcare environment
