2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 3PM-1AM; no WEEKENDS!
Responsibilities
- Confirms that the molded part matches the part number on the work order, attached drawing as well as meets the appropriate quality criteria at that point in the process.
- Uses work order instructions to determine correct batch size and material formula to properly cast and mold the desired part.
- Assembles and disassembles molds, correctly to produce the correct part geometry of the mold construction verified by the blueprint, using bolts, inserts and mechanic’s hand and pneumatic tools at the correct placements and or setting, without damaging the mold.
- Adjusts the processing parameters based on the quality results and processing requirements on the material technical data sheets.
- Monitors mold functionality and reports mold wear that is causing quality defects or impeding the production rate.
- Make accurate part counts and measurements, demonstrating strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and effective hand-eye coordination to ensure inventory accuracy and product quality.
- Read, understand, and follow work orders and verbal or written directions, ensuring tasks are completed correctly, efficiently, and within required timeframes.
- Maintains molds in good working condition by handling mold components properly, as well as using hand tools properly to not cause unnecessary wear and tear.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor to support production needs and maintain operational efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Competency in reading and using basic measurement instruments.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
