Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Over the Road Truck Driver to join our team. This is a 1099 positionwith paying percentage of the revenue. This position involves long-haul driving across various routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate diverse road conditions. Experience with various types of trailers and loads is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer safely over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle inspections. Using Motive ELD.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transportation.
- Manage trailers as required by the load.
- Follow designated routes while being adaptable to changes in delivery schedules or routes as needed.
Experience
- No tickets or accidents in the MVR
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with over-the-road routes.
- Experience with Dry-Van or Drop and hook.
- Prior delivery driver experience is a plus, especially in freight handling and logistics.
