Warehouse Operations Trainer
Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of paper products for hygienic and domestic use with operations across the United States and Europe.
Sofidel America is seeking a Warehouse Operations Trainer to support distribution and warehouse operations by developing training programs, implementing standardized procedures, and driving operational excellence.
This role works closely with leadership to improve performance through training and process improvement while ensuring consistency in safety, quality, and productivity across distribution teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve operational efficiency and productivity
- Design and implement operational tools including visual aids, documentation, and process guides
- Partner with leadership to develop training strategies, onboarding programs, and employee development plans
- Deliver classroom and hands-on training to improve employee performance and operational consistency
- Maintain a visible presence on the warehouse floor to support employees and answer operational questions
- Utilize equipment downtime as opportunities for training and process improvement initiatives
- Support continuous improvement efforts including 5S, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives
- Act as a liaison with Quality and Operations teams to support product traceability, sampling requests, and inventory identification
- Provide operational support when necessary, including assisting with shipping, receiving, loading, and unloading activities
- Provide backup support for supervisors or leadership as needed
- Promote a strong safety culture by training employees on safe work practices and procedures
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout procedures
- Participate in safety reviews and incident investigations, including root cause analysis
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through proper housekeeping and operational standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse operations
- Experience in employee training or operational instruction preferred
- Experience in industrial or high-volume distribution environments preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train and present to teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using enterprise systems or warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Positive leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and support employees
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and operational reporting preferred
- Ability to work in an industrial warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
- Must comply with all PPE and safety requirements including steel-toe shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection
- Ability to lift, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks as required in a distribution facility
- Must be available to support operations that may run multiple shifts or extended hours
