Jack's Chop House in Fredericksburg, Texas is hiring! We are seeking friendly and professional Servers/Bartenders to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and experience working in fine dining restaurant environments. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fine dining or casual setting. Prior experience with fine dining, POS systems and food industry standards is highly valued. The Server will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences through attentive service and knowledgeable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments via POS or cashiering systems
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and resetting tables for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and wine/ beverage pairings to assist guests effectively
- Provide guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in bartending, food service or restaurant roles; fine dining experience a must.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square and Toast
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset committed to hospitality excellence
