Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant / NCT (Non-Certified Technician) X-ray to join our reputable orthopedic practice. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support patient care through clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring a seamless patient experience from intake to follow-up. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive medical assisting skills, including experience with diagnostic procedures, medical documentation, and electronic health record management. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking accurate vital signs, recording medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly.
- Assist physicians during orthopedic evaluations and minor procedures, including X-ray imaging and other diagnostic tests.
- Perform phlebotomy and medication administration as directed, adhering to safety protocols and patient comfort standards.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring precise documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient intake processes.
- Conduct basic life support (BLS) duties when necessary and respond effectively to emergency situations within the clinic setting.
- Maintain medical records in compliance with privacy regulations and assist with ICD coding for accurate billing.
- Support hospital medicine or outpatient services as needed, including inpatient experience or clinic-based care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and ensure equipment such as X-ray machines are properly maintained.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management, healthcare administration, or clinical support within orthopedic or related specialties.
- Strong knowledge of dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine is advantageous.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management.
- Competence in phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support certification.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations.
- Knowledge of ICD coding, medical documentation standards, and medical terminology.
- Experience working in hospital environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers is preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of pharmacology relevant to outpatient orthopedic care.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
