We are looking for a friendly and motivated individual to join our team! We are a close-knit staff in a fear-free small animal practice committed to providing the very best in patient and client care!
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the care of animals and the day to day operations of a small animal hospital.
- Perform an initial evaluation of the animal's condition, clean and wrap wounds, check vital statistics, collect samples, and administer medication.
- Perform basic lab work, including urinalysis and blood tests, and may assist with sedated procedures such as teeth cleanings and surgeries.
- Assist during patient examinations and surgical procedures by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools, and ensuring that equipment is in working order.
- Communicate with pet owners and update patient files.
Necessary Skills:
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism as the candidate will be interacting with pet owners and coworkers constantly.
- Understanding of animal behavior and strong clinical skills to properly evaluate an animal's condition and provide treatment.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized so that they may take medical histories, carry out instructions, document patient statistics, and update records.
- Enjoy working with animals and the ability to comfort, handle, and restrain large and small pets.
Our hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Closed on weekends and some holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Veterinary Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
