Mid-Shift Custodial Manager (San Antonio)
CUSTODIAL MANAGER (MID-SHIFT/ Afternoon & Evenings)
DAYS: Monday - Friday
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Under general direction, coordinates and supervises all aspects of daily and periodic cleaning in educational complexes to include:
_ Manages supervisors and head custodians, admin assistant and custodians. _ Determines appropriate staffing levels required for work projects. _ Meets with occupants to monitor/ensure standards of cleanliness. _ May coordinate setup for events on all campuses.

_ Other job related responsibilities and tasks may be assigned. _ Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. _ Supervises daily work of assistant supervisor and custodians. _ Manages a staff, inspects all assigned areas daily to ensure work is being carried out properly and orderly. _ Prepares and submits work schedules; biweekly payroll. _ Evaluates performance of custodial personnel; prepares and submits disciplinary action and incident reports; counsels employees. _ Designates shift and area work assignments for custodians and lead personnel. _ Conducts training programs for custodians. _ Implements new procedures and policies. _ Maintains records and correspondence. _ Prepares reports. _ Submits purchase requisitions for supplies; maintains supply inventory and accounts; contacts vendors. _ Prepares and submits progress reports on building conditions. _ Establishes and monitors working relationships with students, faculty, staff, co-workers, and visitors. _Coordinates various cleaning projects. _ Receives equipment, uniforms, and paper orders. _ Operates all cleaning equipment. _ Coordinates setup for events on all campuses and ensures proper staffing. _ Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be able to work Mid-Shift & Night Shift if need be. Must be open to working weekends if need be.
SKILLS:
_ Five years facilities management experience in commercial real-estate, institutional or academic setting. _ Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures related to general business operations, facilities management and personnel. _ Ability to monitor and control operational costs while maintaining high performance standards. _Working Knowledge of construction management, architectural design principles, building codes and inspection procedures._ Leadership of diverse work groups with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels._ Skills in conducting high-level meetings; conflict-resolution and presentation skills._ Ability to be on-call and respond nights or weekends for emergency situations.
PHYSICAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
_ Ability to walk throughout the campus. _ Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. _ Ability to operate carpet extractor, floor buffers, and various cleaning equipment.
