Job Title: Welder / Fabricator – Overhead Crane Company
Location: Wichita, KS | Job Type: Full-Time | Travel: Occasional (installation projects)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Welder/Fabricator to join our overhead crane team. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and is comfortable wearing multiple hats — from welding and fabrication to shop maintenance and field installation support. Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication work on crane components and structures
- Prep and paint fabricated parts and assemblies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Assist with ordering materials, parts, and supplies as needed
- Support the installation of overhead cranes at customer job sites
- Travel to job sites as required (may include overnight travel)
- Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Perform other shop duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven MIG and Stick welding experience
- Fabrication experience, including reading measurements and basic blueprints
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Willingness and ability to travel for installation jobs
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work at heights when required
- Valid driver's license (required for travel)
Preferred (not required)
- Prior experience in the crane, industrial equipment, or heavy machinery industry
- Painting/coating experience
- Willing to obtain forklift or aerial lift certification
Pay: $25.17 - $30.32 per hour
