Position Summary:
The Human Resources and Technology Specialist is responsible for administering critical human resources processes for third party contractual staff (including professional and administrative staff) including recruitment, selection, onboarding, administering employment contracts and work agreements and administering hourly employee agreements, while also supporting grant financial processes, student information systems and technology-related administrative tasks. Key components are third party contractors, labor relations support, data accuracy, grant compliance and technology coordination to enhance district operations and educational outcomes.
Position Responsibilities (Human Resources):

Coordinates and participates in the District's employment process for third party hourly, exempt (non-certified) and contracted employees including recruiting, screening, selecting candidates and insuring a smooth onboarding process.

Ensures compliance with legal and district requirements including drug tests, fingerprinting, background and reference checks, completion of I9s and tax forms.

Coordinates engagement of contractual staffing including Bearcat Coaches, Family Advocates, Success Specialists, Tutors, etc.

Coordinates and manages substitute service staffing.

In collaboration with the Human Resources Manager, prepares the Registry of Educational Personnel Report (REP) for the district in the fall and spring each year.

Maintains confidential records such as medical files, discipline, and third-party employee's performance appraisals.

Backup to Human Resources Coordinator in preparation of change orders for all employees including, but not limited to, location changes, account changes, transfers, special pays, resignations and retirements.

Ensures compliance of federal and state regulatory requirements for background checks, certification and endorsements.

Complete all volunteer applications.

Backup for Workers Compensation.

Support for Human Resources Department.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Executive Director of Human Resources and Finance.
Position Responsibilities (Grant/Student Data/Technology Department):

Streamline and maintain grant-funded contractor account management to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance

Provide Level 1 helpdesk support for student information systems and data processes.

Schedule and organize meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on action items.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology and Grants.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Education, or related field required (Associate's with extensive experience considered) .

3+ years' administrative or human resource experience required.

3+ years' experience in grant management, financial analysis, or data management required.

Experience in an educational setting with Human Resources, grants and student data systems preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Advanced Excel and data visualization skills; ability to develop training for data/grant processes preferred.

Knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to Human Resources, grants and student data.

Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and Human Resources procedures.

Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic database management.

Ability to work independently, handle confidential information and manage multiple high priority tasks.
Salary: $44,712 - $53,149
Contract: 261 Days (12 Months)
