MM Technics LP is German based, tier one supplier to the automotive OEM’s in South Carolina. The Prosperity plant joins a corporate family that has manufacturing operations in Germany and Poland. MM Technics is looking to hire a qualified candidate for our Robotic Weld Cell operator position for our 2nd shift. (2nd shift = Mon - Fri, 2:30pm - 11:00pm)
Position Snapshot: Under minimal supervision, this skilled position will be required to Program, Edit, Run and Troubleshoot the robotic weld cell machine. Continuously interacts with production, planning, inventory management, purchasing, and shipping.
Responsibilities:
- Load correct parts accurately into their respective fixture for robot to weld.
- Once welded, remove assembly, inspect all welds and parts for defects per customer specs.
- Quickly and precisely identify bad or out of spec welds and implement appropriate course of action.
- Work with complex fixtures and layouts
- Assist with engineering of new parts, troubleshoot issues, fixture changes, etc.
- Inventory management of spare components
- Be available for flexible hours and over-time as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by plant management.
Requirements:
- Minimum two (2) years manufacturing/production experience, preferred
- Experience working around or with robotic arms for production, robotic welding and programming
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to quickly learn new processes, jobs and duties
- The ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to stay focused and complete tasks in a timely manner with limited supervision
- The ability to be proactive and look for opportunities to make a difference
- The ability to adapt to new/difficult situations
- Ability to operate a pallet jack
- The ability to focus attention on detailed requirements and tasks
- Ability to comply with all facility safety and environmental rules
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position will require continuous standing, walking, sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, working overhead and lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Frequent pushing/pulling of a moving cart and moving/lifting equipment.
