Join Our Team
Wood Brothers Trucking & Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Foreman to lead excavation and underground utility crews throughout the Treasure Valley. We specialize in commercial and residential site development, including excavation, grading, sewer, water, storm drain, and pressurized irrigation installations.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, keeps projects moving, and isn't afraid to get out of the pickup and work alongside the crew when needed.
What You'll Do
- Lead a crew performing excavation and underground utility work.
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and grade stakes.
- Coordinate daily activities with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Plan work to maximize productivity while maintaining quality and safety.
- Operate heavy equipment when needed.
- Install sewer, water, storm drain, and irrigation systems to project specifications.
- Manage trench safety and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Track daily production and complete daily reports.
- Schedule materials and equipment deliveries.
- Perform quality control throughout each phase of construction.
- Mentor equipment operators and laborers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of civil construction experience.
- Previous experience leading excavation or underground utility crews.
- Ability to read blueprints and utility plans.
- Experience with grading using GPS machine control is preferred.
- Strong understanding of sewer, water, storm drain, and irrigation installation.
- Knowledge of trench safety and OSHA regulations.
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
Equipment Experience Preferred
Experience operating equipment such as:
- Excavators
- Dozers
- Loaders
- Motor Graders
- Compactors
- Skid steers
