General Expectations of Delivery Driver:
They perform the following tasks to ensure they work effectively and efficiently during their shift. They need to load and transport baked goods and ingredients between Forge, Diesel Cafe, and Bloc Cafe; maintain clean, sanitized bins and equipment. Bring a positive attitude to work every day and follow company policies. They are expected to prioritize punctuality and safety.
Hours:
- Shifts currently start at 5:30 AM and run until approximately 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
- 2–3 shifts per week, dependent on staff availability and business needs
- Weekend availability required
Schedule/scheduling:
- Responsible for following company policies for lateness, clock ins/outs, and shift switches
- Proactive in requesting time off with a minimum of 3 weeks' advance notice
- Proactive in communicating errors in clock ins/outs in a timely manner
Training:
- Present, engaged, and participatory in training and focused on developing skills
- Receptive to positive and constructive feedback
- Works with the rest of the driving team to develop reliable delivery routines
Communication with Kitchen, Bakery, and Cafe Teams:
- Ability to communicate to stores and departments about questions, issues, and concerns
- Receives delegation and direction on delivery routes, timing, and additional tasks as needed
- Make sure to contribute to each shift in positive ways
Cleanliness/sanitation:
- Cleans bins and containers using dishwasher and dishwashing equipment
- Follows all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of loading, unloading, and storage areas
Delivery Quality:
- Loads and unloads bins of baked goods and other products carefully to avoid damage
- Delivers to Diesel Cafe, Bloc Cafe, and wholesale accounts accurately and on time
- Drives safely and adheres to all traffic laws
- Works in an organized and efficient manner
Other requirements
- Valid Driver's License required
- Vehicle required
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Receptive to feedback from management and co-workers
- Positive, upbeat attitude
- Belief in mission statement and core values and ability to model and uphold them
- Abide by the company's policies and procedures along with safety and health code guidelines in accordance with state and city regulations
- Maintains proper attendance and punctuality
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly: $25.00 + Mileage Reimbursement
- Paid Sick Time: Accrued in accordance with state law; eligible to use after 90 days
- Paid Training and Paid Orientation
- Shift Meal of $22 when working 5 or more hours

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The person in this position needs to load and unload bins and products from a vehicle, which requires bending, lifting, and reaching. They need to be able to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods while loading and unloading at multiple locations. They must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle for the duration of their shift. They need to frequently communicate accurate information with the kitchen, bakery, and cafe teams. The employee must be able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds in and out of the vehicle and around the bakery and cafes.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
