This position will be a Monday Thru Friday 9:00AM - 2:30PM with possibility of working an additional up to 5 hours as needed.
This position will require a background and drug test.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Watch for defects in the brick (color, distortion, cracks, chips, etc...)
· Place the appropriate quantity of brick types on the conveyors
· Place the good brick into the monorail jigs and place bad brick on the scrap belt
· Put brick into the jigs according to standardized patterns which are determined by brick size and or type
· Place paper and wood veneer between the layers at specified intervals for protection of the brick
· Notify Lead Person or Manager of any problems
· Work in a safe and efficient manner
· Notify Lead Person or Manager when supplies are low
· Operate area machinery as directed
· Clean and sign off on the cleanliness of the work area as required
· Notify supervisor of any accident
· Consistently maintain and display a positive attitude, respond to area problems and job duties with a demonstration of self-initiative, good judgment, common sense and professional courtesy
· Follow and support all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
· Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and differentiating between colors. Employee cannot be color blind.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is loud and requires hearing protection.
Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
