FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for riveting structural members, assemblies, and parts using stationary riveting, dimpling, and drilling machines and hand tools.
Completes work orders and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations and type size and hole patterns of rivets.
Removes together adjoining edges of parts and assemblies.
Aligns and assembles parts to be riveted, using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
. Education and Experience - High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence). Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures and work instructions. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
Mathematical Skills –Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Attention to Detail - Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks.
Care and Use of Equipment - Performing all maintenance and operations checks of job related equipment.
