Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer/operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of pipelines, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, as well as the ability to operate heavy machinery (FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE DOES NOT QUALIFY) and read blueprints effectively.
MUST HAVE 2YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair pipelines for water, gas, and sewage systems.
- Operate heavy equipment such as front loader trucks and bulldozers to assist in excavation and installation tasks.
- Utilize pipe lasers for accurate alignment and grading of pipeline installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and layout.
- Conduct utility locating to ensure safe digging practices and avoid existing underground utilities.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform concrete forming tasks as needed during pipeline installation projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including bulldozers and front loader trucks.
- Experience with pipeline installation techniques and best practices.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective project execution.
- Skilled in utility locating to prevent damage to existing infrastructure.
- Knowledge of concrete forming processes related to pipeline projects.
- Familiarity with using pipe lasers for precise installation measurements.
- Welding skills are a plus for performing necessary repairs or modifications on-site.
