Aleknagik Technology, LLC (ATL) is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to provide critical legal and administrative support to attorneys and investigators handling matters related to public safety oversight, regulatory compliance, enforcement actions, and legal policy. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing case files, conducting legal research, and assisting with litigation support and document preparation.
Description of Paralegal Work

Legal Research and Analysis

Conduct legal research involving federal statutes, regulations, administrative law, civil rights requirements, and case law.

Utilize legal research databases including Westlaw, Westlaw Next, LexisNexis, and Lexis Advance.

Analyze legal authorities and summarize research findings for attorneys.

Verify legal citations and ensure legal documents meet required standards.

Draft legal memoranda, correspondence, reports, and research summaries.

Assist attorneys with legal analysis supporting investigations and enforcement actions.
- Litigation and Case Management Support

Collect, organize, review, and analyze factual information and documentary evidence.

Maintain complete and accurate legal case files throughout the lifecycle of each matter.

Assist with litigation support, including document preparation, discovery, trial preparation, and administrative proceedings.

Prepare exhibits, case summaries, witness files, and supporting documentation.

Coordinate document production and maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal records.
- Investigative and Compliance Support

Assist attorneys during investigations and compliance reviews.

Research applicable regulations, policies, and legal precedents supporting investigative efforts.

Locate, coordinate, and assist with witness interviews.

Review complaints and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Analyze factual information to identify issues requiring attorney review.

Support enforcement activities through legal and factual research.
- Case Tracking and Information Management

Maintain electronic case files and complaint tracking systems.

Enter and update case information within legal case management systems.

Maintain electronic databases, legal records, and reference materials.

Retrieve legal decisions, guidance documents, policies, and other reference materials for attorneys.

Ensure legal records are organized, accurate, and maintained in accordance with office procedures.
- Administrative and Operational Support

Prepare correspondence, reports, legal forms, and administrative documentation.

Scan, upload, organize, and maintain electronic filing systems.
-
Coordinate meetings, legal calendars, and document deadlines.

Assist with records management and document retention.

Provide general administrative support to attorneys, investigators, and legal staff.
-
Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Education

Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved Paralegal Studies program required.

Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, Political Science, or a related field preferred.
Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of professional paralegal experience.

Experience supporting government, regulatory, public safety, compliance, or litigation matters preferred.

Experience managing legal case files and electronic document management systems preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of legal terminology, litigation processes, administrative law, and legal procedures.

Proficiency using legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis.

Experience with electronic case management systems and document management software.
