The New York Butcher Shoppe is a high-end specialty grocery store/ butcher shoppe. We are actively looking to hire a meat cutter to join our team. As a meat cutter, you will be on the butcher block which is the center of the store. So, you are the first to greet customers and customer service is what makes us unique. If you have no meat cutting experience but you have great customer service skills, we will train the right candadate to cut meat.
This is an ideal position for someone wanting to get out of the late night food scene while expanding your experience and knowledge in an upscale store surrounded by fun, knowledgeable professionals.
- Responsibilities: (include but not limited to)
- Having knowledge of the meats we offer and the ability to sell them.
- Making Custom Cuts of meat.
- Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and procedures.
- Operate the grinder and saw.
- Greet and help customers.
- Work as a team with the crew.
- Run Register
If you have great customer service and the willingness to learn- there are many positions in the Butcher Shoppe that you will have the opportunity to move up and learn to work in different areas.
Looking for a full time employee, who is available to work all weekends. No part timers and shifts are from 11am-7:15pm.
