Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dental Insurance Expert to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Review and interpret dental insurance policies, including DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding to ensure accurate billing and claims submission
- Process medical collections efficiently by following up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely reimbursements
- Utilize billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to manage patient records, claims data, and billing information accurately
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies to verify coverage details, clarify benefits, and resolve claim issues
- Assist patients with understanding their dental insurance benefits and guide them through the claims process with excellent customer service skills
- Maintain comprehensive medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare claims management standards
- Stay updated on healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and coding changes to ensure ongoing compliance and accuracy
Skills
- Strong knowledge of healthcare claims management processes including DRG, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, ICD coding, and medical billing procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes
- Experience using billing software along with EMR/EHR systems for managing medical records and processing claims
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex insurance information clearly and professionally
- In-depth understanding of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and medical records management
- Ability to navigate healthcare claims procedures efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in medical office environments or healthcare settings is highly preferred
