Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per year

This is a hands-on leadership role (~70% on-floor / 30% administrative) focused on clinical training, skill development, and real-time reinforcement of standards. You will serve as a clinical training anchor working directly alongside the team to teach, coach, and elevate performance in anesthesia, ER, and specialty care. This is not a classroom-based training role; it requires strong clinical credibility and consistent presence on the floor.

Work alongside the team to provide consistent, real-time clinical support and guidance

Reinforce standards of care, protocols, and technical execution during active cases

Serve as a go-to resource for anesthesia, ER, and specialty procedures

Model strong clinical decision-making, efficiency, and teamwork on the floor

Train and mentor veterinary assistants and technicians in core clinical and technical skills

Provide real-time coaching and feedback to reinforce best practices

Identify skill gaps and implement targeted, hands-on training approaches

Support team members in building confidence and competence across key technical areas

Partner with leadership to ensure structured, effective onboarding for new hires

Develop and implement clear training pathways, competency benchmarks, and skill progression plans

Guide new team members from orientation through independent clinical performance

Track progress and ensure consistency in expectations across departments

Create individualized technical development plans to support growth and career progression

Establish and reinforce benchmarks for clinical competence across roles and experience levels

Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and high standards of patient care

Promote consistency in clinical execution across shifts and teams

Help manage and coordinate internal CE programs and training initiatives

Support knowledge sharing across the team, including case reviews and skill refreshers

Partner with leadership to identify ongoing development opportunities

Collaborate with fellow Clinical Services Supervisors and the Clinical Services Manager to align training with operational needs

Help maintain efficient workflows while supporting team development

Active California RVT license required

Strong background in anesthesia, ER, and/or specialty medicine

Minimum 5-7 years of veterinary clinical experience with demonstrated technical proficiency

Prior experience in training, mentoring, or developing staff strongly preferred

High level of clinical credibility and technical expertise

Passion for teaching, coaching, and developing others

Ability to provide clear, direct, and constructive feedback

Strong presence on the floor with a hands-on, team-oriented approach
