Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end close processes, and supporting internal and external audits. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant prepares monthly bank reconciliation.
- Works with the Accounts Payable Clerk(s), assisting in the completion of the weekly accounts payable tasks and reviewing the work of the AP clerk for accuracy.
- Prepares the monthly adjustments to the General Ledger for various allocations & accruals required.
- Responsible for the Accounts Receivable process and recording of sales, reviewing all data entry into A/R module.
- Is the person that primarily assists the Accounting Manager with all the audit schedules and requirements.
- Assists the Accounting Manager with regular & special financial reports and analysis.
- Prepares various G/L account analysis and reconciliations as part of the internal audit of accounts.
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or variances.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Handling a variety of other financial tasks as needed, including processing invoices, managing cashflow, and supporting accounting staff.
- Supports the accounting staff when team members are out of the office.
- And all other duties assigned.
Education, Skills, and Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
-3+ years of experience working as an accountant or in an accounting capacity.
-Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and practices.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with diverse teams.
-Experience with accounting software and tools (experience working in MS Dynamics a plus)
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
-Attention to detail and accuracy
-Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
-Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English and Spanish is a must.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
-Able to work under pressure and meet company expectations and provide exemplary customer service to our customers and employees.
Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
