Job Description
Bonus Information:
- Up to $10,000.00 Sign On Bonus
- Up to $3,000.00 Relocation Bonus
Schedule Information:
- Day and Night Shifts (6am to 6:45pm / 6pm to 6:45am). Availability varies and will be confirmed at the time of the interview.
- Every other weekend required
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of techniques and treatment modalities for patients of varying ages, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric.
- Documents all pertinent data on the patient’s medical record after completing service.
- Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understanding the purpose and possible side effects of each.
- Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment, remaining alert to possible side effects.
- Sets up and monitors mechanical ventilators, including airway management and tracheal suctioning.
- Performs arterial punctures to obtain blood samples for gas analysis, understanding complications and contraindications.
- Assesses patient needs and tolerance for treatment, reassessing responses to therapy.
- Formulates and evaluates teaching plans based on patient learning needs, including family involvement as appropriate.
Education:
Field of Study:
- in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science
Work Experience:
- 1+ years experience as a respiratory therapist [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- State Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) [Required] OR NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) [Required] OR State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required] OR NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) [Required]
Pay: $26.08 - $48.50 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 per week
