Job Summary:
To work within the framework of a quality food and beverage service team. To provide guests with high quality, consistent liquor, non-alcoholic products and food; served in a personable, courteous and professional manner. Manage beverage costs, waste and inventory.

- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes harmony with guests, co-workers, and management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly familiar with all standards of proper service etiquette and adhere to these standards throughout guest service.
- Sale of food is an important component of the job - be familiar with all menus and always ask guests if they want a food purchase with all drink orders.
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly inventory of all bar beverages as required by management.
- Properly follows all opening and closing procedures to ensure proper service for patrons.
- Follows all food handling and safety standards.
- Aware of all local liquor laws as well as company and departmental policies regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Must have completed a TIPS course.
- Valid Food Handlers certificate at all times.
- Must have completed County & State Liquor training.
- Know all spirited beverages, beers and wines by the glass, on tap, and by the bottle. Be familiar with elements of the wine list and be able to discuss regions, styles, and varieties of wines offered.
- Know how to properly make and serve all soft drinks, coffee and tea.
- Know all drink recipes including garnish, glassware to be used and specific service, and consistently use these recipes during production.
- Alert management to any problems within the bar area, including but not limited to stocking, storage and delivery of product, and suggest solutions to such problems, as applicable.
- Accurately pour alcohol to ensure the restaurant maintains proper drink costs.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area by following proper daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties as needed. Ensure standards are met behind and in front of the bar.

Education and Experience:
- At least two years related experience preferred.
- TIPS card certification
