La Stella Italian Steakhouse – Now Hiring: Assistant General Manager / Advanced Sommelier (Full-Time)

We are now seeking a high-level hospitality leader to join our management team as our Assistant General Manager / Advanced Sommelier—a unique hybrid role for someone who thrives in both operations leadership and world-class wine service.
The Role
This position is ideal for an experienced manager who is highly polished on the floor, operationally strong, and deeply passionate about wine service.
You will serve as a key leader supporting the GM in daily operations while working alongside—and assisting—our full-time Sommelier, helping uphold and elevate the wine program through service, training support, and pairing guidance.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Leadership
- Lead floor execution and service flow with confident hospitality leadership
- Support scheduling, staffing, training, and daily service readiness
- Assist GM with team accountability, systems, and service standards
- Ensure guest recovery is handled professionally and immediately
- Maintain fine-dining service expectations at every touchpoint
- Schedule will include Sunday and Monday Shifts.
Wine Service (Supporting Role)
- Assist and support our full-time Sommelier during service and peak volume
- Provide wine recommendations and pairing guidance when needed
- Help reinforce wine service standards with the FOH team
- Support wine education and training initiatives (as directed by the Sommelier/GM)
- Maintain proper wine presentation, steps of service, and professionalism
Who You Are
- Certified Sommelier certification required (Court of Master Sommeliers)
- Strong leadership experience in a fine-dining or upscale high-volume setting
- Hospitality-first: warm, sharp, and standards-driven
- Highly organized, calm under pressure, and excellent communicator
- Strong knowledge of Italian wine and classic steakhouse pairings
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
