Job Overview
The Mazda Express Technician is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic maintenance services while providing a positive customer experience. Duties
- Perform routine oil and filter changes according to Mazda specifications
- Complete basic vehicle inspections as part of express maintenance services.
- Perform and document multi-point inspections accurately.
- Complete a professional video walk-around of each customer's vehicle when required.
- Identify and communicate visible maintenance needs or potential repairs to the Service Advisor.
- Recommend additional maintenance and repairs based on findings from express oil services and inspections,
- Properly document vehicle conditions and recommended services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete daily shop cleaning and housekeeping tasks when express service work is not available.
- Maintain and properly use shop equipment, tools and safety equipment.
- Follow Mazda service procedures, dealership policies, and all applicable safety requirements.
- Protect customer vehicles by using appropriate covers, floor mats, and other protective equipment.
- Assis other technicians and the service department as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude with customers and coworkers.
Requirements
- Entry-level automotive position; previous dealership experience is not required.
- Basic interest in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Willingness to learn Mazda service procedures and dealership processes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to safely perform physical duties associated with automotive service.
