Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Duties
- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
- Maintain compliance with electrical safety procedures by implementing lockout/tagout protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work on construction sites performing renovation and new build projects, including framing carpentry as needed for electrical installations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment efficiently to complete tasks accurately and safely.
- Diagnose complex electrical issues within systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation.
- Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to plan installations or repairs in low voltage or high voltage systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with strong knowledge of electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams effectively.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards along with local electrical codes is essential for ensuring safe practices.
- Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing devices.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage systems across construction or renovation projects.
- Familiarity with high-voltage safety procedures and proper handling of power tools.
- Construction site experience including framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus for versatile project support.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining a focus on safety.
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; ongoing professional development preferred.
