We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Licensed Optician or Apprentice Optician to join our growing private practice in Ohio. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, knowledgeable in eyewear and lens options, and committed to providing an exceptional optical experience. This role involves assisting patients with frame selection, fitting and adjusting eyewear, and ensuring compliance with Ohio optical regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments based on prescriptions, lifestyle, and budget
- Accurately interpret and fill eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions
- Perform precise measurements, fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs
- Educate patients on proper eyewear use, care, and maintenance
- Maintain accurate patient records and insurance documentation
- Ensure compliance with all Ohio State Board of Optometry regulations
- Collaborate with optometrists and staff to deliver excellent patient care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional optical dispensary
