Job Description:
We are seeking a certified and passionate Addiction Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide vital support and guidance to individuals undergoing methadone treatment, helping them to achieve and maintain sobriety. Your expertise and empathy will play a crucial role in their recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients receiving methadone treatment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Educate clients and their families about addiction, treatment options, and recovery processes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and facility standards
Qualifications:
- Required certification: ADT (Alcohol and Drug Trainee), CSC-AD (Certified Supervised Counselor-Alcohol and Drug), or CAC-AD (Certified Associate Counselor-Alcohol and Drug)
- Proven experience in addiction counseling, preferably in a methadone treatment setting
- Strong understanding of opioid addiction and methadone maintenance therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to client recovery
