Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle janitorial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any issues or repairs needed in the building.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are used effectively and safely.
- Provide porter services when required, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with floor care processes including buffing and maintenance.
- Experience in commercial cleaning environments is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of residential painting is a plus.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.34 - $26.90 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
