General Description
The Career Services Coordinator at the Pathways for Access to Careers and Employment (PACE) program provides individualized workforce development services to adult job seekers, supporting career exploration, job readiness, and employment placement. The role delivers assessments, career coaching, and referrals while collaborating with internal teams and community partners to connect clients to opportunities. This is a performance‑based position responsible for managing an active caseload, maintaining accurate documentation, and meeting monthly program and placement benchmarks.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intakes and comprehensive assessments to identify employment, education, training, and supportive service needs.
- Develop and manage individualized career and action plans through one-on-one coaching, mentorship, and ongoing progress monitoring.
- Review resumes, assess job readiness and eligibility, and facilitate job readiness, career development, and youth-focused workshops.
- Refer clients to vocational training, supportive services, and recruitment events; collaborate with Account Managers and Community Partners to support job placement.
- Manage an active caseload, coordinate schedules for assessments, trainings, and advisement, and meet or exceed monthly performance KPIs and placement targets in a results-driven environment.
- Maintain accurate case notes, enter data into case management systems, and generate reports to track participation, outcomes, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with the Training team to align Career Services programming with curriculum, skill development milestones, and training outcomes.
- Reinforce the connection between financial stability and employment success by encouraging participant engagement with the Financial Empowerment Team.
- Align pre‑employment coaching with post‑employment supports related to workplace expectations, career advancement, and long‑term success.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in workforce development, social services, case management, human resources, education, counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals facing employment or socioeconomic barriers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and ability to accurately enter data, track outcomes, and generate reports.
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Creole/French, Russian, or similar) strongly preferred.
- Strong coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate clients toward employment and education goals.
- Ability to manage an active caseload, maintain accurate documentation, and enter data into case management or database systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment and collaborate with internal staff and external partners.
Salary Range: $23.08 - $24.04 per hour
This is a temporary 3-month assignment from August to October 2026.
