Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic kitchen helper/baker to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our bakery by assisting in food production, customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about baking and have a keen interest in culinary arts.
The bakery will be open Wednesday- Saturday.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and baking of various pastry and bakery items, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Help with catering orders, including setup and presentation of bakery items for events.
- Handle food products safely, following proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Operate kitchen equipment and tools safely, including knives and mixers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
Skills
- Experience in food production or culinary arts is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to work in a kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with pastry techniques and baking methods is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to catering and bakery operations.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
