We are seeking a dynamic and welcoming Host/Host to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and positive attitude, making them feel welcome and appreciated
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant offerings
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating flow and timely service
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and reservations as needed
- Monitor dining area for cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction throughout their visit
- Assist in managing guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously
- Support overall restaurant operations by maintaining a clean, organized host stand and assisting with other guest services as required
Experience
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service or restaurant roles preferred but not required—enthusiasm for hospitality is key!
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Knowledge of guest services, serving etiquette, and hospitality best practices enhances your ability to excel in this role
- Background in hotel or guest relations roles can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Familiarity with phone etiquette and customer service principles ensures excellent guest interactions
