American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required Epic proficiency for a 4-week travel contract at a teaching facility in Berlin, VT.

Community-based, 100-bed acute care teaching hospital in Berlin, VT
-
MRI unit utilizing a GE Optima 450w wide bore machine
-
Average of 12–14 MRI exams performed per day, scheduled approximately 45 minutes apart
-
Contrast injections are required as part of routine MRI practice
-
Epic is the documentation system used at this facility
-
10-hour day shifts with variable start times (6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM); schedule may extend to 9:30 PM depending on staffing needs

One night of call per week (10:00 PM–6:00 AM) and every 4th or 5th weekend
-
Weekend call rotation includes MRI call coverage 8:00 AM–12:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays

Holiday on-call coverage required

Floating within radiology is required, including fluoroscopy, OR, and off-site locations

Monday through Sunday availability required; block scheduling is not available

CT and X-ray cross-training required, as this person will float to other modalities

ARRT certification in MRI required

Minimum of 2 years of MRI clinical experience

Teaching facility experience required
-
Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable

CT and X-ray training required due to float expectations
-
Current BLS required
-
License required if applicable
-
At least two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor (one from the past 6 months, one from within the past year of employment)

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Prior travel experience is not required

Routine MRI exams are the most common procedures performed, consistent with a community-based hospital setting
-
Performs contrast injections as part of standard MRI workflow
-
Dress code: scrubs in any color, closed non-skid shoes, minimal jewelry, groomed hair/beard able to accommodate a mask, and no artificial nails
-
Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
-
Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
