Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, appliances, and building infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems efficiently and accurately.
- Read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to diagnose issues and execute repairs with precision.
- Conduct appliance repairs and service technician tasks to ensure all equipment operates safely and effectively.
- Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to uphold safety standards and operational continuity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, or refrigeration is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience in equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting across various systems.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to building maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or lead a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities.
- Relevant certifications in HVAC/R or refrigeration are preferred; however, practical experience can also be considered.
