Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented 1st Shift Forklift Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials efficiently within our warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse distribution, order picking, and materials handling will ensure smooth operations and timely shipments.
1st Shift position from 7:30am - 4pm
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload goods
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Load and unload trucks accurately while adhering to safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as cranes and forklifts to ensure mechanical reliability
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying shipments and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Support warehouse management with order picking, heavy lifting, and materials handling tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Proven warehouse distribution or warehouse experience with familiarity in order picking and shipping & receiving processes
- Previous forklift operation experience with certification preferred; knowledge of clamp trucks, crane operation, and heavy equipment handling is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and other mechanical tools such as pallet jacks
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse environments
- Prior supervisory experience as a warehouse supervisor or in construction settings is advantageous but not required
