Summary
Centaur Inc. is an FDA-licensed animal health manufacturing company located in Olathe, Kansas. We are seeking a detail-oriented lab technician to execute various laboratory tests and complete applicable paperwork. This position performs routine wet chemistry testing on stability, in-process, and finished product samples.
As part of our Quality Control Team, this position is responsible for ensuring that products being manufactured are within the requirements set by specifications and all SOPs are followed. This position will provide quality oversight and support to production operations and serve as a backup to the Quality Manager when needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience with GMPs, 21 CFR regulations, pharmaceutical or animal health manufacturing, quality systems, compliance protocols, and inventory control. Candidates without direct experience must demonstrate the ability to learn and apply these requirements quickly and accurately.
1–3 years of laboratory, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure all testing, inspections, and documentation are completed accurately and in compliance with FDA regulations, GMP requirements, and company procedures.
- Conduct laboratory tests, including titrations / standardizations; pH metering and calibration; distillations; FTIR operation and analysis; retain sample collection, testing, tracking and destruction; and routine water sampling
- Maintain test records, and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Receive and inspect raw materials, packaging, and labels
- Manage Quality Control inventory and coordinate replenishment of necessary supplies.
- Issue controlled labels and documents.
- Release finished goods from inventory.
- Follow all SOPs and suggest updates when necessary.
- Provide quality control support to production operations.
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization, including routine housekeeping duties.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong attention to detail, including accurate documentation and record-keeping
- Commitment to compliance with SOPs and quality requirements
- Lab safety compliance
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods as needed
