Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items in accordance with food safety standards.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and preparation stations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items to enhance the customer experience.
- Follow all food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and familiarity with serving in a café or food service environment.
- Previous cashiering experience with proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating friendliness, patience, and attentiveness.
- Strong time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
