General Description
Assist with technical aspects of setup, break down, and coordination of University events as well as host off-campus groups.
Essential Job Duties
1. Assist with setup and break down of audio and visual equipment: i.e., public address systems, projectors, and screens: including analog and digital equipment.
2. Test audio and visual equipment prior to events and troubleshoot and resolve problems.
3. Set-up staging, flooring, tables and chairs for events.
4. Act as an official host at University events.
5. Dress and gaff cables for best aesthetic and technical presentations.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
1. Basic knowledge of analog and digital audio and visual equipment is highly preferred.
2. Must have ability to distinguish quality sound and EQ sound equipment for optimum experience for event attenders.
3. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
4. Position requires bending, stooping, and reaching to lay cables.
5. Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
6. Flexible schedule permitting evening and weekend work.
