The Role
We're hiring a Backend Retail Associate to run the behind-the-scenes side of our business. You'll be the person who makes sure online orders are packed beautifully and shipped on time, customers get quick and friendly answers, and our inventory records actually match what's on the shelves.

What You'll Do
- Pack and ship online orders. Gather items, package them carefully (presentation matters — our packages are part of the gift), print labels, and get shipments out the door daily.
- Answer customer communications. Respond to emails, website messages, social media DMs, and order inquiries in a warm, professional voice. Handle order changes, shipping questions, returns, and exchanges.
- Verify incoming deliveries. Check received shipments against packing slips and purchase orders, note shortages or damage, and flag discrepancies to the owner.
- File postal and shipping claims. Submit and track lost/damaged package claims with USPS and FedEx, follow up until they're resolved, and keep records of each claim.
- Take weekly inventory. Count stock, update inventory records, identify low-stock and discrepancies, and report what needs reordering.
- Support the sales floor. Jump in to help sales associates during busy periods, holidays, and special events — greeting customers, restocking, gift wrapping, and running the register as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail — you notice when a number doesn't match or an order is missing an item
- Clear, friendly written communication for customer emails and messages
- Comfortable with basic computer tasks: email, spreadsheets, and online shipping/order systems (we'll train you on our specific platforms)
- Reliable and self-directed — able to work through a daily task list without being reminded
- Able to lift and move boxes up to [XX] lbs and stand for extended periods
- Previous retail, e-commerce, shipping, or customer service experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person
