American Asphalt Paving Co., a local road construction company located in Shavertown, PA, is seeking experienced TRI-AXLE DUMP TRUCK DRIVERS with manual and/or automatic transmission experience, as well as a TANKER DRIVER for Evening Shift.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be responsible for hauling materials (stone, asphalt, soil, etc.) to/from job sites, backing into the paver and offloading liquid asphalt. Prefer candidates with 2 years dump truck driving experience in the road construction industry, or other applicable truck/industry.
- Home same day!
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
- Keep interior truck and dump body clean.
- Able to communicate with customers & dispatchers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license, with manual and/or automatic transmission experience.
- Clean motor vehicle driving record.
- Must be able to pass DOT physical and maintain a current medical card.
- Dump experience helpful.
- Must be willing and available to work overtime, including weekends -- particularly during peak season.
- On occasion, position will require driver to work a night shift.
- Applicant must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening test, and be willing to submit to, and pass, random drug/alcohol testing thereafter.
- Pay commensurate with experience.
Additional skills and certifications preferred, but not required:
- Hazmat and/or Tanker endorsement
- Lowboy experience with CDL Class A
- Tack truck experience with CDL Class B
