Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of residential painting, facilities maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. The Maintenance Technician will work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership qualities while supervising maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential properties, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Execute residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic quality and protect surfaces.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting and repair purposes.
- Operate and maintain logic controllers for automated systems within the facility.
- Fabricate components as necessary to support maintenance operations.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and support in their tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on the status of repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all duties.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is required.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC operations is essential.
- Experience with schematics and logic controllers is a plus.
- Leadership experience or supervisory skills are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication within the team.
