Dilling Group is seeking an accomplished Electrical Director to lead and grow its electrical construction operations with a primary focus on heavy industrial construction projects.
This executive leadership role is responsible for building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, strengthening client partnerships, and ensuring successful execution across some of the nation's most complex industrial construction projects, including steel mills, soybean processing facilities, manufacturing plants, refineries, power generation facilities, and other heavy industrial environments.
The Electrical Director will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership while overseeing operations from preconstruction through project completion, ensuring every project meets Dilling Group's standards for safety, quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.

What You'll Lead
- Executive oversight of heavy industrial electrical construction operations.
- Project execution from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.
- Development and leadership of Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership teams.
- Operational planning for multi-million-dollar industrial construction portfolios.
- Financial performance, forecasting, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
- Strategic relationships with industrial owners, manufacturers, EPC firms, and general contractors.
- Business growth initiatives across the heavy industrial market.
- Operational excellence through innovation, prefabrication, and continuous improvement.
- Company-wide safety culture and execution excellence.
- Recruiting, mentoring, and developing the next generation of operational leaders.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years leading large-scale electrical construction organizations.
- Executive leadership experience with an electrical contractor serving heavy industrial clients.
- Proven success delivering complex electrical projects within industries such as:
- Steel mills
- Soybean and grain processing facilities
- Manufacturing plants
- Chemical and petrochemical facilities
- Power generation
- Pulp and paper
- Food processing
- Mining or other industrial processing facilities
- Experience managing annual project portfolios exceeding $100M.
- Strong executive-level financial leadership, including forecasting, budgeting, labor planning, and operational performance metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing operational teams.
- Experience working directly with industrial owners, EPC firms, engineers, and national general contractors.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
