Registered Nurse (RN): On-Call for Face-to-Face Assessment

Schedules:
- Weekday On-Call: 5pm to 8am ($40/call period)
- Weekend On-Call: 24 hours ($75/call period)
This position is for an on-call RN to respond for a required face-to-face assessment in the event of a client restraint. Must be able to begin face-to-face assessment in person at facility in Brush Prairie, Washington within 60 minutes of receiving call. The average number of restraints that required an on-call RN to respond for a face-to-face assessment has been less than one per month since the opening of our Brush Prairie facility in September 2025.
Pay Options:
1) Independent Contractor: Pay rate of $40-$75 per day for on-call coverage plus $150 per completed face-to-face assessment.
2) Employee: Pay rate of $40-$75 per day for on-call coverage plus negotiable hourly rate for face-to-face assessments. In addition to on-call coverage, would also be able to work regular nursing shifts at our Brush Prairie, Washington location and Tigard, Oregon location if dually licensed in Oregon.

Our programming is centered around skill building in emotional regulation, resiliency, conflict resolution, and communication with a framework of intentional healing relationships as a strategy for long-term recovery. Our staff are highly trained in nonviolent crisis intervention, trauma and resiliency informed practices and cultural competencies.
Responsibilities and Duties
The ideal candidate for this position will be dedicated and passionate about providing empathetic, comprehensive and professional nursing care to clients in a residential, psychiatric/chemical dependency setting in accordance with federal rules and Washington specific laws, accepted standards of psychiatric mental health nursing, the Code of Ethics for Nurses, the written mission of Madrona Recovery, the philosophy, objectives, and standards of care of the nursing department, and all policies and procedures. Must be organized and able to work collaboratively with a team. Must be able to maintain ethical and appropriate boundaries with youth in recovery. Responsibilities include medication administration, implementing the nursing process, providing client education, updating care plans, and participating in quality improvement programs.
Qualifications and Skills
- A current unencumbered Washington Registered Nursing License.
- Preferable one year of nursing experience, in a psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment setting serving adolescents.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification are desirable.
- If recovering from a substance abuse related disorder must be able to document continuous abstinence under independent living conditions or recovery housing for the immediate past two years.
