Role Description
Abbeyfield is hiring full-time, part-time, in-person, hybrid, and tele-health therapists. We are seeking skilled and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapists to join our professional team. Therapists will provide psychotherapy to clients presenting with a range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological concerns.
This position allows you to focus exclusively on clinical work—clients are provided by the practice, along with administrative, billing, and scheduling support. The Licensed Mental Health Therapist has opportunities to conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy services to clients, including individuals and families. They will collaborate with clients to set therapeutic goals, monitor progress, and adjust plans as necessary. Additional responsibilities may include case management and the maintenance of accurate and confidential client records.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, young adults, and/or children using evidence-based modalities.
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in professional development, case consultation, and supervision, as needed.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of clinical practice, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
- Collaborate with colleagues and staff to support coordinated, high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.
- Active, unrestricted clinical license in California (e.g., PsyD, PhD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPCC).
- Minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred, not required.
- Proficiency in evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care).
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and clinical documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
Work Schedule
- Minimum of 10 clinical hours per week required.
- Flexible scheduling options available, including in-office, daytime, evening, and hybrid or fully remote arrangements.
