Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Certified Montessori Guide to join our vibrant early childhood education team in the Children’s House program. As a Lead Guide, you will inspire young learners through a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment. Your role is to foster independence, curiosity, and a love of learning while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom experience. You will lead classroom activities, develop curriculum plans aligned with Montessori principles, and mentor assistant guides to uphold the highest standards of early childhood education. Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive Montessori curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored to children’s individual needs.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and respect for each child's unique developmental journey.
- Lead daily classroom activities, lessons, and routines that support childhood development milestones in areas such as language acquisition, fine and gross motor skills, and behavior management.
- Observe and assess children’s progress regularly, utilizing standardized testing methods when appropriate to inform instruction and support early intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians through clear communication about children’s achievements, challenges, and developmental goals.
- Mentor assistant guides and support staff by providing guidance on classroom management techniques, lesson planning, and Montessori methodology best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and ensure compliance with licensing standards and educational regulations.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Montessori Guide for Children’s House (ages 3-6) from an accredited training program.
- Proven classroom management skills with experience working with preschool or early childhood learners in a Montessori setting or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, special education strategies including early intervention techniques, and behavior management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and social-emotional learning components.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and community partners to support child welfare and holistic development.
- Experience with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood education is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lead by example in fostering an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Pay: $26.66 - $32.10 per hour
